JOB TITLE	SAP Project Manager
LOCATION	Naperville, IL (Near Chicago)
DUTIES	The Project Manager will be responsible for leading various SAP initiatives. The candidate will work, under minimal supervision, as part of the strategic program office to partner with our customers to understand the current and future business requirements, assess existing IT infrastructure, business practices and business objectives to identify gaps and opportunities. The candidate will be accountable for development and execution of SAP projects including post go live support, as necessary. He/she will partner with program office to ensure alignment with the corporate IT architecture and to develop appropriate models for training, support and maintenance. The candidate will balance costs, risks and benefits to achieve optimal short-term and long-term business outcomes. He/she will manage and maintain the project plan and costs, manage resources, issues and risk management, deliver documentation and act as a liaison between IT and the client. Responsibilities include strategic planning and analysis and tactical program execution. The candidate will develop detailed project plans and work schedules, allocate tasks to project team and monitors quality and timeliness of required deliverables and track key project milestones and adjust plans and/or resources to meet project requirements. He/she will ensure appropriate priorities are assigned to critical project tasks, ensure alignment of project planning methodology with strategic PMO and will communicate project status and issues for resolution to appropriate steering and oversight committees. The Project Manager will manage project direction to ensure that Senior Management Executives expectations are fulfilled and will report project status to the Senior Program Director. He/she will manage scope creep through tight scope control procedures, approve all project expenditures and monitor actual versus budget to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery of projects and monitor project costs to ensure budget adherence. The candidate will ensure timely issue resolution and appropriate issue escalation, as well as ensure resolution process is in place for gaps, issues and risks. He/she will establish and monitor compliance with standards for documentation, data and training, as well as plan and coordinate hypercare short-term support functions, shifts and procedures. The Project Manager will plan transition to long-term production support and transition from hypercare to stable state, as well as coordinate post go-live change control procedures.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS	A B.A./B.S. in Computer Science, Business, or a related discipline is required. The candidate must have 7-9 years of experience in IT and 5-7 years of experience in project management with an emphasis on SAP implementations. PMP certification is a plus. The candidate must have experience in successfully managing teams of business and technical resources in building Information Systems and IT Infrastructure with partners and vendors. Experience with project management best practices including software development SDLC and standard project management methodologies and experience in assembling and mobilizing project teams from various departments is required. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and highly developed communication skills and the ability to develop clear action plans and drive process and people are required. The candidate should be in US and either be US Permanent Resident / US Citizen.
